Good Morning, Friends!
And Happy Monday!

I hope you all had lovely weekends and are ready for a short week this week!

(How is Thanksgiving on Thursday?! Where did this year go?!?!)

Anyway.

As I mentioned last week, DGC and I had our Christmas Card photo shoot with the ever so fabulous Apryl Murphy this past weekend.

After agonizing for days, I played eenie-meeie-minie-moe in our closets until I landed on something non-hideous. I made a game time decision about our wardrobe choices.

DGC wore a black suit and a gorgeous deep cranberry and black plaid Ted Baker shirt. No tie. I wore a deep crimson cashmere number by Elie Tahari with black tights and tall boots. We coordinated, but were not matchy-matchy, if that makes sense.

(Yes, I'm neurotic about those sorts of things. But at this point, you really shouldn't be surprised.)

Apryl got some amazing shots, including a last minute snap in a parking garage that just may be my favorite photo of DGC and me...ever! Top five for sure.

It will grace the front of this year's Christmas card.

While I'm not going to show that one (yet), I will show you guys a little sneak peek from our shoot this weekend...

And check out the size of my hair! I love big hair, ya'll. Though I can't really take credit for it. Dawn, who is pretty much the Hair Whisperer, helped a sister out on Saturday morning...(She also did my hair for the CMA Awards a couple weeks ago...)

I am continuously amazed at how talented Apryl is, and consider myself incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing photographer, and more importantly, a wonderful friend in my life. If you're in North Alabama and looking for a photographer, I highly recommend that you guys look her up. I mean, if she can make us look that good, then she's pretty much a miracle worker in my book.
