DGC and I have our Christmas Card photos scheduled this weekend with the ever so talented Apryl Murphy.
{You may remember that Apryl was the creative genius behind our amazing engagement shoot in 2009. She has also created our Christmas cards every .single. year. I've known her since we were each approximately 14 years old...and she STILL talks to me. Can you believe it? One day we may have to revisit those stories...which may or may not involve summer, a 3000GT, and a snow cone or two. On second thought...you know what? What do you say we just stick to her photography skills and forget about those old times, shall we?! Sounds like a plan, Stan! Okay then...Moving right along...}
Unfortunately, I'm kind of in a wardrobe funk, and am at a loss for an acceptable outfit to wear for this weekend's festivities.
So I did what any modern girl would to --
I turned to social media, and posted the question to my good friends on facebook.

{To be completely fair - I appreciated the tiger idea and briefly considered its feasibility before quickly determining that there was no way that I could get a tiger in Tennessee on such short notice. Oh well. There's always next year, right?!}
Oh yeah.
And there was also this...
....which will likely go down in history as favorite.facebook.post.ever....
Ahem.Lesson learned.
{But my friends are super funny, no?}
So, all that being said, I'm taking Soulmatey's advice and turning to the blogosphere.
I don't know why I didn't think of that first.
You guys are quite fashion forward.
And I need help.
Style me*.
{*In something other than a slingshot bikini, fangs or cannonballs....by the way, what are Christmas Cannonballs anyway? Someone? Anyone?! }
Please.
I'll be forever grateful.
And even send you a Christmas Card.
Which will inevitably be spectacular.
If I can ever figure out what to @!#&*$%#@#$ wear.

5 Thoughts:
I think you would look great in a green top--bright but deep green. Don't know it that makes sense. Just style your man around you. Nothing too heavily colored but maybe brown or black shirt depending on what you wear. And a scarf is always a great addition to pictures-I think! :-)
scarves, leggings, boots - all good for holiday cards! but i feel ya, we are taking ours next week and i have been racking my brain...trying not to buy anything new....we'll see if that works! :)
Sticking with the tent theme, rent a baby and freak everyone out by making them think you had one and they forgot! And call him Percival.
No really, I think you should do warm bundle clothes (adorable coat, ahem Burberry?) gloves, scarf and boots and do them outside. And back to the rent theme, rent some snow. Okay, that's enough kidding ;-)
I'm hoping for skinny jeans, red heels and a solid color shirt with fun jewelry. No clue on the shirt color yet! Hubby is wearing a cheesy Christmas tie!
I'd help but I have no fashion sense (check out my outfit last night while making dinner on FB). I really want to do creative pictures with Mr. Bear but he a)won't pay someone to take our pictures and b)won't pose with me anyways. I am hoping to get him drunk and put reindeer antlers on him and then smile next to him... that would be cute right?
Red and green always works... so does draping yourselves in christmas lights!
